Resumen
The current Regional Center for Animal Selection and Reproduction (CERSYRA) of Valdepeñas has a history that exceeds eighty years in which it has had various denominations and its activities have been evolving with the general objective of animal improvement at the service of farmers. Its first 25 years of operation, object of this work, were focused on the promotion and expansion of the Karakul race nationwide. In addition, during this period, work was carried out such as the introduction of selected strains of birds, equine reproduction and normalization of Manchego cheese. A recognition is made to the workforce of workers and their families.
